SO I've been slaving away for what seems like pennies a day the more and more they take away from us at work. Top 100 best companies in the world blah blah this and that fuck that, who the hell can live on just 40 hours of week at straight hourly pay? It was nice when you could rake in 20 hours of OT a week, now they strangle you down to no more than 10 and do whatever they can to make sure you cant even make it to 5.
Anyhoo, I need to make some more cash. I do well for myself, I cover all my bills, other expenses and treat myself without hitting the credit cards, but asides from that, if I ever want to say buy a house or another car this job isn't gonna cut it.
Plan B just presented itself. I'm praying that they will select me (it cost 75 bux to apply) and I can get this moving. If I land this, the pay at first will suck, my mon-fri workweek will be out the window as well as working days but within 5 years I can stand to be making double of what I make now.
It could read it, but iIt's not a greed thing at all. It is just that living in the shadow of NYC is expensive as fuck. I have considered moving elsewhere, especially since I can transfer anywhere in the US where I work now, but there are way too many people here that mean too much to me to do it.
at least you don't work for a place which is mostly illegal workers (illegal in the sense it's mostly people in on a 6 month tourist visa, and should not be working) where they pay a bulk of your paycheck in cash, forcing you to feel the need to burn your money as soon as you get it, not to mention the cost of commuting to and fro from jersey to the city and back 3 days a week. hence the fact i have 30$ to last me until monday.
