At what point did we stop talking about the future? And don't tell me it's already here or I'll Beat you upside the head with my Steam-Powered Ass-Kicking Machine. We're paying so much attention to the here and the now that we're losing our wistful, whimsical VVision of the future.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying march upon the capitol screaming "WHERE'S MY FLYING CAR." I just want us to cease and desist talking about what could've/should've been but what's going to be. Yah, chances are good that their won't be a future(Vegas has the odds at 3 to 2 against) what with global warming, WWIII, and various Elder Gods rising from the depths to consume us all(Praise Lord Cthulu, Please Eat me Last). But remember what Disney and Land Before Time 1-3 and 5-17 Taught us? If you have hope you will always prevail(I think LBT 4 was more about Avoiding drug-dealing Velociraptors) So Come now, And Hope with me!
Now take my hand and remember your manners. It been ages since the future had visitors. We'd best show respect to our new overlords, whomever they may be.
