i recently put it on hold becuase im not gonna be in nyc that much and i hurt my hand last time i had a gig. it sucked. it was at the very end of the night and i was unloading my gear from the truck into my storeage and i was exhausted, slipped and cut a mean gash in my hand from some sharp peice of metal that was attached to the inside of the van. i was totally fucked. i could see the bone in my thumb joint and it was bleeding like a mofo. i was totally alone w/ nobody to help me and basically fucked because all of my equipment still had to be loaded into my storeage otherwise i would of had to leave it there and it would of been stolen in a minute.
that night i was wearing arm warmers so i took one of em and wrapped my hand in it and blocked out the pain and loaded everything thing in my locker. there was blood everywhere and it got worse cause i had to stack my speakers to make em fit into my storgage. there was blood all over my speakers, my clothes the floor, it looked like there was a murder. actually all the blood kinda looked kinda cool.

so i told everybody that i have been doing sound for that i was put it on hold, not really because of my hand but to fly back to nyc the job has to pay well and these parties that i have been doing sound for havent been payin that well.
so i got a call yesterday from a buddy and i let voice mail get it cause i knew he wants to rent out some gear. i was gonna blow him off but instead i called him out of respect of our friend ship to tell him that i wasnt interested. but FINNALLY A REAL SOUND GIG! i just got off the phone w/ him and its a job that i cant refuse. its a the javits center for http://www.nycomiccon.com. which is a big show for comedians. i guess there's gonna be 50,000 people there over the course of the 3 days. so i cut my trip short and im flyin home wednessday for 50$.
whats even more killer is that im gonna spin at the afterparty which is gonna be at the biggest club in nyc on a saturday night, CROWBAR!
im gonna beat the piss out of their sound system! mmmhhhuuaaa
