So our recent blog homework assignment is who are out heroes.

I have a few for many different reasons of why i adore them. I adore/d Maya Angelou, like hearing her speak in person was the greatest gift my family ever gave me. Along with her complete works an edition I sadly no longer have due to moving. As someone who's dream is to be a writer she was my inspiration and motivation. I have other writer heroes but Ms. Angelou was at the top for me.
A few other heroes for me are of the feminist and sexual liberation movement variety. Like all the feminist before me both poc or otherwise have been inspiring. In finding my own truths and showing me ways that their is still a lot to fight for. Like the stigma of liking sex for women or enjoying the beauty and strength of our own bodies is still a thing. And it shouldn't be. Also the plans to turn abortion back to being illegal makes me sad. Like I am pro choice. I am pro CHOICE. not pro abortion. PRO CHOICE. I believe it's a women's right to chose. The option to have that choice and to have it done safely is not the government but her own.

A few other heroes of mine are my mom and my nana. Like sometimes my mom and i don't get a long well but she is my hero. She has stood by me through so much. And even though I am like 100% sure she would like a normal daughter, thats less chaotic, less nerdy, less geeky, less cosplay, and all she does love me and accept a lot of me. And I am thankful and happy for that. My nan is always a special person in my heart. She was stunning and a kind soul. She let so many family member stay with her when they first came to the US and didn't ask for anything, She was the backbone. And I adore her for my lessons on being kind.

So those are some of my heroes.

Life recently has been crazy busy. With classes and NYCC is nigh. And kitten fostering. And SG burleque promo. But I think i am still hanging in there. Just have to make it to my birthday weekend in November and I think things kinda calm down after that. So hanging in their like that cat in those posters.
