What a fucking day so far, and it's only half over.
First, RJD2 was shopping in my store today. My friend Virgil that I work with saw him wandering around at VCU and drove him over. Can you imagine? He gets to say...RJD2 was in my car...super tight.
Then, as I'm hanging out, watching RJ...I look out the back door, and see the giant cloud of smoke above the tree tops across town. So I finished my smoothie and rode my bike across town to check it out. I happened to have my camera with me too because I was out looking for a wrist strap for it so I snapped some pics...here's one:

So...more stories to come after tonights show. I met Akrobatik outside the tour bus. And I saw Murs (1 of my 2 favorite fucking emcee's EVER). I actually stood right next to him at the bar, and didn't even know it was him. He trimmed his beard, and got his labret pierced, and was wearing a hat. But I asked Ak, and he said it was him. I'm gonna interview him..well, hang out and talk to him all night. I want to write a review of his new album that just came out on Tuesday for the Plan9 magazine and others. I love Murs. I do. God I love Murs. Anyway...so I'm sure there will be plenty more stories for tomorrow's journal. And then even more stories for Sunday because of...well...I can't say quite yet...but just check back.

My dad asked me if I'd heard news about this at dinner; I realized the only place I'd heard about it was here, in your Journal, when I was looking around SG at work yesterday afternoon (so I had pictures turned off). Granted, I don't watch any TV news.... cuz of all the depressing things I can't do anything about, like crime and fires.
