I did a lot of stuff this weekend.
Friday night, I was really tired and wasn't going to do anything, but ended up hanging out with some SG people and having a lot of fun.
Saturday morning, I took my car in to have its brakes checked. Nine hours and eight hundred dollars later, I had it back. It sucks to spend money on something lame like that, but at least now it feels safe to drive again.
Saturday night, I went to a party at my old roommate's new apartment in this luxury apartment building that just opened in College Park. It's a very nice place, a lot nicer than anywhere else in the city. And it's mostly students.
I went on a liquor run around 11pm and when I was coming back I passed three sweaty drunk 19 year old 6 out of 10s in the hallway. I don't mean that they were drunk and sweaty, I mean they were drunk to the point that it was making them sweat. They started telling me about how they had all just streaked through the hallway and how upset I should be that I missed it, and they were talking so fast and all at once that I couldn't get a word in. I sort of just looked at them with a perplexed and unimpressed expression. After they turned the corner away from me, still chattering, I heard one of them yell "Whatever, that guy was a fag." I guess I didn't seem impressed enough by them or distraut enough that I had missed seeing their sweaty A-cups running down the hallway. That's the shit about college that I'm glad to be done with.
But then I got back to the party and everybody was drinking and playing beer pong and staying up until 4 am drinking, because they didn't have to drive home and they didn't have anything important to do the next day. That's the shit I miss about college.

Sunday morning I had a horrible hangover, which was strange because I never get hangovers. And my body was all sore from sleeping on the floor. I knew I couldn't make it back to Baltimore in that condition, so I went to my parents' house in Cheverly because I knew they were out of town. I had to pull over twice to puke and almost fell out of my car, because I was so dizzy. When I got there I stole two of my mom's oxycontin pills and watched Arrested Development episodes on my brother's computer all day, which was pretty chill.

Oxycontin! Hah.

Yeah, that's car brakes for you, man. That nice shudder when your car brakes means you're about to part with around a thousand fuckin dollars. I know, believe me.
