I mean to write more often I really do . I just keep getting distracted by naked girls on the internet. This site is really not helping me focus.
So here is something that happened to me.
After years of being a broke college student and after a year of dressing according to industrial dress codes I needed decent dress clothes. I followed the advice of Men's Health for the style impared. I asked a woman to go shopping with me. I asked two female friends. So I got new dress clothes and later in the year I decided to get them a nice thank you gift for helping me.
I was downtown on the week before Christmas and I decided this two girls that had helped me buy clothes a gift.So I get out of Borders with no luck . I suck at buying things for people.I spot Victoria's Secret. I think that sounds like a good idea.I walk into a store that is pink , has neon lights and pictures of half naked women on the wall . I have never been in a place that looked like this without being half-way drunk and about to see some poor girl take of her clothes.but that is another story .I get to the counter and I ask for two gift cards. The clerk hands me the cards . I put the name of the girls on it .
Then she gets this pretty little boxes that have this pretty fabric flower on the top of them and quickly stuffs the cards in them.
I look at her and ask " how am I supposed to know which card is which ?"
She looks at me like it's the first time someone is buying a gift card at Victoria's Secret for two different women at the same time.
Am I the only person that has been in that position?
I say no
There is the cheating husband.
The two timing boyfriend.
The girl buying gift cards for all her friends.
The clerk quickly opened one of the pretty little pink boxes and then marked the boxes with a tag. I was actually quite intrigued with the little gift boxes . I have been looking for a picture , but this was the best I could find. The top of the box.
I learned two lessons from this . Always tag gifts and never give Victoria Secret Gift Boxes at Dinner Parties. Unless conversation is really really dead.
