I saw the girl that used to comp me into the nightclub Ground Zero (goth industrial bondage place, if you must know) yesterday. I hadn't seen her for probably six or seven years.
Where did I see her? In the cafeteria at work, Ameri-freaking-prise... and she's a financial advisor now. Looks fantastic, too. Here I am with nasty acne for the first time since... well, high school, and the body that results from a few years of depression and health problems.
I just gaped at her like an idiot. She even mentioned other people that I used to know from Ground Zero that worked there (including, apparently, a photographer for this site). I shouldn't be annoyed at other people's success, but you gotta understand... last time I knew this woman, she was living in a 15' x 20' closet efficiency and partying all the time. I guess people change. Maybe I should, too.

It's possible, I mean, it's not like I ever dated her or anything so I'd really know her deal. And I don't really wish her ill, it's mostly just a wake-up call when you see somone you expected wouldn't ammount to much (which is kinda an asshole thing for me to do in the first place) doing well for themselves.
