i'm obsessed with watching the katrina coverage. it's frightening and sad and words can't come close to describe how I'm feeling about it. I guess it has to do with the family down there in harm's way. My cousin is worried about his friends who wouldn't leave when he did.







i don't feel mad at the looters. if you just managed to survive one of the worst catastrophes in human history i won't begrudge you from snagging some food or even property. they just lost everything and if they think a big screen or some new clothes is going to help them cope then so be it.
also, is it wrong that the lady on the TV is reporting about Hurricane Katrina from Aruba? They show some reporters outside getting the crap kicked out them by Katrina and talking about all of the devastation and then to her in Aruba. I wonder if she'll be going out to a club after this. This is just crazy.

I know this isn't his fault, but somehow I can't help thinking that our President shouldn't keep taking vacations at that ranch in Crawford. Everytime he goes there it seems like the world goes to hell. What do you think Mr. President?
