Thanks to my lovely and talented roommate, the office is coming along nicely. She grew sick and tired of the miles of tangled wired and made the editing suite look like this
The yardsale was last Thursday morning and lasted all weekend. My roommate's mom kept threatening this sale for many weeks and we somehow nearly always convinced her to delay the event. This time was different. Tables, chairs, dressers, lamps and various castoffs donated by friends and family members were culled from our basement and for three days it all rested on our lawn and driveway.
Overall the sale was a huge success. my roommate's mom said that more than $500 was was raised although it seemed like there was just as much stuff at the beginning as at the end. Most people would come look things over and drive away. As we were putting away all of the stuff not sold, people tried to come up and see if we would just give them stuff for free, typical.
My roommate decided to bring some class and sophistication to the event by selling latte's. That didn't go over well with the Milford yardsale buying crowd and sadly she reported not selling a single cup. Nevertheless here's a picture of her wonderful sign:
The video podcast ran into some technical difficulties (as in I didn't have enough light) so we'll have to try again. In the meantime, I posted an audio interview I did with my friend a few months ago. the link is to that is on my site for those interested in downloading. Just click on the button that says kimera or click here
I'll probably post the audio from our pilot show since it's pretty decent. But first, I must finish extracting it. Well, it's off to work.
