My return to SG is a happy one filled with pics and exciting news. First the pics:
We took these pictures of the house this past Sunday morning.
this is what you'll see upon entering my the house driveway. There may be stuff out from the garage sales we have regularly.
my bed, otherwise known as "where the magic begins" That's not really true but rumors have to start somehow.
because Sophie demanded it, pics of the home studio. I can't show the rest of the office since it's an embarrassing mess, but this is where I plan to edit the future movies my roommate and I plan on eventually shooting. But that's jumping ahead for now, more pics.
Flopcat in my roommate's room. (see Andromeda,
we didn't forget the kitty)
My roommate's room is messier than mine because I adopted this whole zen minimalist thing featuring a room full of great expanses of carpet so that people have room to stretch out. I gave my television and X-Box to my nephew when I moved, so the room is a place for quiet reflection, writing and meditation.
and now the real reason for moving into the house in the first place (other than occasionally watching my gorgeous roommate Claire sashay around the house in bath towels)
I can't show you the rest of the house, since we haven't come close to being finished decorating. My roommie would kill me if I showed you the rest of the place in this raw, unfinished form, but I can show you her pride and joy:
the vegetable garden. I lobbied for more recreational type plants to be grown but she would have none of that if any DEA is monitoring this blog (man, us stoners are paranoid) I can't say how long that will be true but for now this home is proud to be drug free (with a few exceptions)
Now for the big news. Other than moving in with my best friend to the nearby town of Milford, Ohio, the big news is that my roommate and I have decided to start our own weekly internet show. Assuming everything goes well and I get around to it, my website will feature our new show. The plan is for us to spend the week shooting bits and segments and have it ready for launch on Monday. this means I'll constantly be scrounging for guests and bugging people to go watch. I'll set it up so that hopefully people with ipodder or an RSS reader can subscribe and automatically download. It's going to feature sketches, videos and regular interviews. I'll also try to get bands to set up and play because musical guests are aces and spades. the web address is www.coolpointsgroup.com.
CoolpointsGroup
If you go there now you are supposed to see the promo video I made for my buddy JT, a syndicated column by yours truly and of course the brillslliantly funny Andy Borowitz
(added later: Never fails. the server where I hid the video went down.)
All in all, I'm excited and happy about all this. Anyway, the sun is shining and it's my night off so it's off to the lake.
