so this ass clown wannabe photographer sends me an email threatening me because apparently his girlfriend contacted me and asked if me to design a website for her without his knowledge.
I was suspect about the whole thing from jumpoff and figured that it was some loser dude trying to pass himself off as a hot girl, but I reluctantly agreed and since it didn't take long to build, I didn't think anything of it and moved on to other projects. I took the site down immediately because I don't need the drama.
What cheeses me off is that this jackass is crying that I stole his material, which amounted to a few pictures captured from a VHS camera of who I guess is his girlfriend masturbating.
Why is it that every shmuck with a digital camera thinks that he's the next Richard Avedon? Actually, I guess he wants to be Larry Flynt because he was bragging about how he managed to get published in some regional amateur swingers magazine like that was a great accomplishment.
I gave him a quick lesson in reality as well as a brutally honest critique of his pitiful work and talent as a photographer as well as some general advice about life. Mostly that he should consider taking a class or at least read a book and learn a little something about photography. The few pictures that weren't vid caps were clearly shot on idiot mode and and it was obvious that he did not understand basic photgraphic concepts.
It also pisses me off because if he really did make the girl sign away any rights to that material, then he's a scumbag. He's an example of why models don't trust up and coming photographers. Now assuming he's not actually making the whole thing up, this girl got taken advantage of by this sleezeball and is basically ruining her life. I doubt that he paid her very much if anything, and if she was his girlfriend then he just made sure that she will never trust a guy again. As an artist who uses the photograpic medium there are few people I HATE more than shady wannabe's. Photographic artists and models have enough problems in the world without dirtbags like this running around giving us photographers a bad name.
