I was bored at work so I decided to start going through past journal offline entries. I think I planned to someday put a book together or something, but I've got so many projects going it sort of fell through the cracks:
I remember Danielle because she was my very first model. She set a pattern for most of the figure models I have ever worked with. If memory serves me Dannielle was several inches taller than I was. That height discrepancy was made worse when she would decide to accent whatever outfit her Amazonian frame wore that day with stripper heels. Sadly, she always seemed to be in heels, since near as I could tell, Danielles day started at about midnight. I met her while working the grave yard shift at the front desk of a dorm one spring evening. She said that she was from some town in Pennsylvania where she liked to ride horses. She reminded me that I had met her at least twice before through at least four mutual friends.
I cant remember who first brought up the subject of her posing, but eventually our conversation broached that subject. Danielle mentioned that she planned to work as a model for the art department since she had dropped out of school and lost her scholarship. I mentioned my love of photography and that I was considering it as a possible major. I rattled off the names of my favorite artists and she nodded as if she cared that I was talking.
One evening she sashayed up to the front desk and announced that she was returning home to Pennsylvania. I jokingly mentioned that I suppose this meant she would never be in front of my camera and she just smiled and turned away. About half an hour before my shift at the desk ended, she called down and requested that I drop by her place.
When I arrived, Danni, as she preferred to be called, was waiting. She had changed from the ultra tight little dress I saw her in earlier into a pair of jeans and t-shirt. She looked so incredibly wholesome and girl next door that it shocked me when she announced that she wanted me to photograph her wearing her medals and team swimsuit. The disappointed look on my face must have tipped her off that I was expecting something else because she smiled and casually mentioned that after I finished taking that picture she wanted a picture of herself holding the medals and tossing the swimsuit into the trash. My inexperience in these matters was showing since she had to inform me that she didnt plan to wear anything when I took the picture.
The shoot itself was quick. I used a Polaroid camera because this was in the days before digital photography and I didnt own any other type of camera. I ended up taking a total of three because the first one was completely unflattering and she also wanted a picture for herself. When we were done with the shoot, I left quickly fearing that she would reconsider and ask for the Polaroid back.
Danni posed one other time for me. She claimed that she wanted to send a picture of herself to some soldier she had met over the internet. When I tell this to people, I like to joke that this was back in the days when you could safely send naked pictures of yourself to strangers you met online. A week later, she moved back to her Pennsylvania home.
I remember two things about Danni, even to this day. One was that told me her nickname was Gangbang and the other was that she had the largest amount of pubic hair that I have ever encountered on a female. Her bush was so large that my roommate at the time remarked that I might have in fact taken a picture of a man.
Since starting to write this book, I figured out that over the eleven years I actively pursued the craft, I have had the distinct pleasure of working with nearly fifty different models and have taken more than a thousand nudes. Some were good; many were an abomination to the art of nude photography. Yet out of all those photos and models, I will always remember that Polaroid of Danni, my first model.

Hey! Thank you for the tips, a big help I must say. I'm just using a digital camera... and I don't know much about cameras at all
haha... Luckily I do have a full length mirror AND figured out how to use the timer on my camera... sooo... perhaps it won't be quite as disasterous as I had thought. Oooh... telemarketing would be awful... I don't think my job is nearly as horrible as that... but thats partially cuz I hate calling people on the phone, especially to people I don't know

I think I can handle that!!! I found some other pretty decent angles doing practice shots... sooo... *crosses fingers* haha
