Did you know people are still basically decent? I know there is talk of humanity being nothing more than a bunch of cynical, cut throat bastards. Yet everyday people are are quietly helping each other and putting good karma back out there into the cosmos.

I was reminded of that about an hour ago when a stranger helped me put a spare tire on. I wasn't that upset about the flat tire since it could have happened while I was on the highway. Instead, I pulled into a bank parking lot where within five minutes the modern day Samaritan had shown me the quick and proper way to change a tire. I'm not sure what to do about the new tire but things work out as they are supposed to.

I had to hug my good friend Dawn goodbye the other day as she headed to a new life in Florida. I will miss her but at least I have another person to go visit if I ever take a vacation.



Oh I almost forgot I've finally purchased a flash. I've been all about the hotlights, reflectors and tripods to help create my shots for years. Well a wedding photographer friend finally talked me into trading one of my spare lights for one of his spare flashes. So now I get to spend the summer mastering this great new tool. I realize that it's not quite as culturally significant as when Dylan went plugged in, but it's like the end of an era to me.
