Sokoudjou should consider dropping down to middleweight or his career in the UFC will be relegated to victim in one of those compilations of ultimate knockouts that air every now and again. I'm kind of sad that Elite XC went out of business so soon. If think the promotion can best be summed up by that last infamous Kimbo Slice fight. I think way too much was place on Petrazulli's comments since it's common practice for promoters to give bonus money for winning a fight a certain way. edit: I was giving the promotors the benefit of the doubt that there was no active fight fixing since the investigation was closed Slice will likely never be seen in the majors again since Dana White said he'd never work with the guy. Maybe Vince McMahon will give him a job. edit: Slice is rumored to be heading to Japan
The biggest victims in all this are women MMA fighters. White has openly stated that he'll never promote female fighters, which made Elite XC the only place these female athletes had a chance to gain any type of mainstream exposure. Hopefully White and his UFC boys club will come to their senses or another promotion will rise from the ashes of all these fallen promotions and give them some time in the spotlight. edit: White now says his only problem with women MMA fighters are a lack of quality competitors to make up a division
