The great myth of Kimbo Slice has come to an end thanks to some jouneyman tomato can. It only took 14 seconds to expose the charade that CBS tried to hoist on the public.
As charades go Kimbo was a nice enough guy. I had the pleasure of his acquaintance years before youtube helped seal his legend around the time he started hanging with the RK crew. He was a nice enough guy which I figure is why most of us were happy to let the charade go for as long as it did. Part of me is sad to see it over and hope that somehow the spin doctors can salvage a few more minutes for that bearded street fighter who I once shared a few beers with.
Fate has moved itself to let me keep my POS Lancer a wee bit longer and should fate still smile on me a bit longer I'll be free to escape this cell of mediocrity and tedium. Adventure calls and with some luck I'll soon be answering its call.
In less cryptic news, the Red Bull soap box derby was all kinds of fun. I'm looking forward to The Halloween Party at Havanna and Sugoicon. I'm still unsure what my costume will be but I'm sure that will work itself out, after all it always does. Until that mystery reveals itself, I'll leave you with these:
