With Karl Rove announcing that he is leaving the Bush administration at the end of August, George Bush is now for all intent and purposes a lame duck. I expect that Bush will mispronounce even more words. How jacked is it that Bush's supposed brain left office a year before he does? Rove is perhaps one of the most controversial and reviled men in politics and the Democrats should be wary. The smart money has him starting a 527 group to cause trouble for whoever ends up the Democratic nominee. Rove has pretty much started his underhanded assault by calling the most likely democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, "a tragically flawed candidate." I expect Rove to lead the charge against either Clinton or Barack Obama by using his favorite tactics, hatred and fear.

Speaking of Bush, The only good news that the administration has received lately is that there is one group in politics less popular than he is, Congress. Apparently the American people are even less pleased with their representatives than George and the gang. Although there were many things that folks said irked them about the legislative branch, the main one was the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. It seems the people are expecting their elected officials to do what they promised namely end the war and in 2008 the American people may just hold them accountable as well by sending them home.

I had to do a little house sitting this week for my favorite aunt. She originally promised me a nice sum for the trouble. However when the time actually came, that sum was cut significantly, by more than half in fact. I chalk that up to the phenomenon called, "the family discount". In the past the family discount helped me to live in a three bedroom condo for a year in exchange for watering plants and got me two cars to drive so I suppose I shouldn't complain. Besides it's not like I can get rid of the family any time soon.

I like the show "The Two Coreys" but then again I liked the movie it was originally based on, "You, Me and Dupree"

I hope Elvis is actually alive because if not he's rolling over in his grave every time that Viagra commercial with his song plays.

And finally the funniest thing I said this week, "I'm pretty sure that the camera will still work even if you keep your clothes on."
