So the wrestling company that I do production work for Heartland Wrestling Association, is having its very first pay per view. What makes this so special is that this will be the first web exclusive wrestling pay-per-view ever!!! I hope that its a success because its importance to the entertainment business wont be understood for some time.
If our PPV is a success, we completely destroy the current business model of needing huge production budgets and television influence to make a successful program. Were actually proving that you can make competitive, entertaining television with a budget of nothing.
Granted pornographers have been doing this for years, but this will be the first time a family-friendly mainstream form of entertainment tries it. Its appropriate that wrestling would be pioneers in this transition since it has that tradition since the early days of both broadcast and cable television.
The band I saw Saturday night wasnt quite what I was looking for but I got a commitment from DEEP THAWTS to do someones original music and another guy is working on a song that will hopefully be done this month. Im also encouraged because Im close to signing a band from Orlando and we might get them on board in time for the PPV.
Sorry that I dont get to be here as often as I would like, but as with most of us life and responsibility seem to be putting a backseat to goofing off on the inter web.
