This will be the only acknowledgement I'll receive from family and friends of this momentous occasion. 
Update12/11:
The reason I was so pessimistic about this year's birthday was that my growingly annoying clairvoyence clued me in about a month ago that something bad was going to happen today. I tried to avoid the vision by staying in bed for as long as possible, but a phone call earlier this morning from my sister reminded me that fate can never be avoided.
A man sped through an intersection, hitting her brand new car, damaging the front end and bending that front axle, essentially totaling it. Here's a few of the pics I took via cellphone cam:
She's fine but this pretty much means that X-mas is ruined since she borrowed the cash I was planning to buy presents with and definitely won't get it back to me anytime soon.
