I finally finished the screenplay that Ive been working on for the past year.

It would have been completed a long time ago but I just couldnt wrap my head around those last twenty pages. The main problem was that those pages were going to feature an important supporting character that I never intended to be in the film but in hindsight was absolutely necessary to the story arch of the movie.

The new twenty pages introduces the main characters little brother and father, another ex-girlfriend and the most impressively ass kicking female character ever created, Kaos.
Kaos doesnt show up until the last twenty minutes of the movie but then just takes over. I think the problem that I had was that it didnt occur to me that the character was female until I stood back and thought about it for a bit over the piece pipe a couple times.

I cant wait to find the cast of actors who will bring the characters to life. Theyve been living in my head for so long it will be great to see them on film. The first thing I have left to decide is whether I will direct or just act as Executive Producer.

If I turn over the directing to someone else, I dont have to worry as much about shot lists and all of the technical crap involved. A producer has enough work to do without having to run rehearsals.

However it is my vision and Im not sure theres anyone I would trust to bring it to life. Besides I havent directed in forever and I miss the interaction and trust that directors are supposed to build with their actors.

Anyway, all that can be sorted out later. For now I celebrate the end of the writing adventure and look forward to the next phase of the adventure.
