Casey is with a guy who has been unemployed for 3 years and refuses to get a job. He is an alcoholic and doesn't have any interest in sex any more. She is 28, he is 27.
Jennifer is with a guy who can't remember birthdays, anniversaries, dates, or anything else pertinent to any sentiment. Doesn't return phone calls, has no sense of romance, has lost interest in sex. They live together and she can't afford to move out on her own. She is 32, he is 38.
Nereida just broke up with a guy who was incredibly jealous and stupid. He is divorced with two children who live with him. She JUST had her divorce finalized last week from a guy who had another woman, and was controlling and jealous. She has two kids with him and was married to him for 11 years. She is 28.
Juliette just broke up with a guy who gave her a $28,000 engagement ring because he is jealous, can't make a commitment, and wants her to be barefoot and pregnant. She is 26, he is 37.
Jenny quit her job and ditched all of her friends to start a new life with a guy who has been married three times already and only wants her for a piece of ass, which is something that she cries about every night. She even moved in with him, and now she is stuck with NOTHING, has no money, and can't leave. She is 26, he is 40.
Sarah got married in March of 2004 to a bright, handsome, rich young guy who is now in law school. Two nights ago he beat the shit out of her because he was insanely jealous and thought she was cheating on him. She just moved out and they are getting divorced. Both of them are 26.
Jen has been in a 10 year relationship with a guy who is constantly sleeping with other girls, and says it is OK because they have an 'open' relationship. Be that as it may, a month ago she had enough and dumped him, but he got all sad and upset and convinced her that he was in love with her, and promised that they would be 'a couple' in 'a little while.' He was good for a few weeks but is now screwing the girl that works at Starbucks again. He has no job. He has convinced her that it is her fault that he is screwing the other girl. She is 31, he is 27.
Those are all my best, closest friends, and 4 of them I used to date, and all of them are really beautiful, gorgeous women with no need to settle.
It's no wonder all my friends are girls. What makes people so stupid? Sex? What the fuck? It makes me so embarassed that I am by default categorized in with those fucksticks, just because of a chromosome and a penis.
So, if any of you are reading this and have experienced these things, let me say I am sorry for the behavior of all men. I wish it wasn't this way. I wish you didn't have to be so paranoid and mistrustful, but I understand. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Speaking as someone who was once stupid (like really stupid), there's little you can do to help them. Hopefully they'll eventually come to their senses. But I do have to say this entry made me kind of sad for humanity
