There is so much shit going on in the world right now I don't even know where to start...I hope you guys can all keep your sanity over the next year or so.
I live right smack dab in Cuban Central here in Coral Gables. Everybody is going batshit about Castro. I pray for these people that their celebration right now doesn't turn bitter when change does eventually come. I pray for their families and loved ones who are still in Cuba, and that tragedy does not come to them over politics.
I pray for the families in Lebanon and Israel. I pray for sanity to come to people that haven't seen what peace is for 2000 years.
I pray for the 8 people I know that lost their jobs today, and that they all land on their feet. They all worked for a competitor who shut down their local office today with no warning. They all used to work for my company.
I pray for my friend who's Colombian wife is stuck in the Bahamas because she let her American travel authorization expire (it doesn't sound like THAT much of a tragedy, but she is 22, beautiful, doesn't speak English, and has been stranded in the Bahamas for 2 weeks. She can't come back to the US because she didn't update her documents, and if she goes back to Colombia she won't be able to get back here for another year).
But FUCK MEL GIBSON. I was sitting in my living room this morning wondering what the FUCK has been happening over the previous 24 hours, asking myself why this Mel Gibson thing about making anti-Semitic remarks was such a big deal, but then it hit me that it IS a big deal.
FUCK him in the asshole with a big rubber dick.
