An update

Mostly what's been on my mind lately is that I dropped my Sony A350 in a river last weekend and ruined it. I tried putting the battery back in this morning but it was unresponsive. I'll cover it in cloth and put it out in my shed for a month and maybe the heat will evaporate the moisture out of it, but I...

I think it's fine to want some nice possessions, and to have them, as long as we don't let our desire for them take over our lives. So, I'd say don't worry too much about wanting a hollow body electric. I'm assuming that, if you get one, you won't do anything immoral to get it, and I'm hoping that you won't rack up a lot of debt either. In general you seem to not be someone who is susceptible to unbridled consumerism. Having a few nice things that you really enjoy is compatible with spiritual growth, in my view.

Haha! That's a great idea, and something I probably would have done when my hair was still on the lighter side. You gotta laugh at yo'self!
I like the Vermont pic.
Neat old camera, btw.

Oh u know me, I was just making a stupid drug reference to your coke job, hardy harr. Like you've never heard that one before, lol.

U do NOT strike me as the solitary type ... u seem very personable and easy to get along with, and u always have interesting/intelligent things to say ... so who *wouldnt* wanna hang out with you?

43 folders is a productivity blog which features "hacks" ie. - ways to improve your productivity, all kinds of tips and tricks.

Your Money or Your Life is an excellent primer (although to be fully primed you'd want to compliment it with some other works) on financial management - kind of a keystone of the voluntary simplicity movement - ie. doing more with less.

Basically I've come up with an efficient elegant way to do one of the things that Your Money or Your Life recommends (tracking every penny you spend / receive) that's worthy of said productivity blog.

Another update of supreme quality

After yesterday's update I went out on a photgraphic expedition to capture some spring greens and get some shots of mountain runoff waterfalls that I return to now and then. At one point I took my Canon S3IS off the tripod because it was a little awkward(awkward is a rather awkwardly spelled word I think) and in doing so dropped...

I'd mostly like to recapture something resembling a normal life. I've been over the road so long... I think I'm burned out on it. I'll return to it if this (or Frito) doesn't work out, but I don't think it'd be my first choice at this point.

Guess I'll have to buy a car again.

It was a fun shoot, but way too early in the morning! Vamp shoots are better. wink

Das Wochlisches Update

I had to work yesterday, which sucked with in certain respects. My job is so physically demanding that I tend to need my three day weekends to have a decent weekend, because day 1 of my weekend is kind of spent recovering from my week, falling asleep a lot; day 2 is a full normal day with a recovered body and mind,...

I'm just chiming in to let you know that I'm still a fan of your journal, even though I don't always comment on it. As has been pointed out in a slightly different context -- this discussion of SGs' journals -- sometimes the best journal entries get fewer comments, because it's harder to write a worthwhile response.

P.S. Some might consider me insufficiently adventurous, but I really like having health insurance. One of the benefits is that the insurance company negotiates with health providers for lower rates. So, if someone doesn't have health insurance, not only do they have to pay all of their own medical bills, which would be bad enough, but the rates they're changed may be much higher. At least that's my understanding.

Hey

Time for an update, mostly for chronological reasons.

I had a seriously craptastic day at work on friday. There's a little cord that you often need when your handheld computer needs to talk to the computer at the store you're delivering to. I needed it every day this week and I only remembered it one out of four days before I had left the...

Hello world.

Apparently none of you saw fit to comment on my last post. Humph.

Yesterday a radio commercial for a technical school that offers things like motorcycle mechanic got me thinking about going to school again for another career change. I think I'd like working on motorcycles a lot better than delivering soda or any other trucking job. So right now I'm again thinking,...

Hey world

I'll do an update, because my last was seven days ago.

Max's eye is about 95-98% recovered from whatever it was.

Work is kind of pulverizing my hands. Tears up my fingernails and makes my fingertips sore. It reminds me of Kurt Vonnegut's Book the Sirens of Titan where he talks about the character Winston Niles Rumfoord, an aristocrat. Winston had hard hands,...

Well, I hate to supersede my fun blog about hangin' with Thora but time marches on.

Coke is getting to be brutally hard work. Wednesday I had to take two pallets of soda down a long flight of stairs and I'm still healing up from that. My boss says that when they redo the routes and schedules I won't have the three day weekends. The...

a ford probe? really? i think i'm offended for the porsche.
i kinda always wanted to drive one of those big trucks. i feel like the idea of having some 17 gears is probably a lot more fun than the actual practice! (they're more there to slow down than to speed up, right?)

In retrospect, it was probably a bit strange.

But then again, I didn't date her (or any other freshman for that matter). Was just the kiss. I think both of us had other things going on at the time anyhow.

The difference between 18 and 15 is significant. On the other hand, at 36 and 33 that is no longer the slightest of concerns.

thank you for your comment on my new self shot set smile

Well hello

About time for an update, maybe not too much to report. Like last time I'm still real concerned about keeping up with the workload when they turn me loose solo. My brother has not been able to keep up with his loads and has brought stuff back to the DC having been unable to finish.

Friday I bumped into an electric company truck...

You're right, I'm changing the key of the song to fit in with my vocal range. The way the song is written is ree-dick-u-lous; I've never heard it in such a high key when I've seen it performed.

Problem is, it's not just the vocal melody that needs to be brought down, it's all the music too.
