While I'm not really a Sci-fi fanboy, I did get around to reading Ready Player One and found it to be pretty fucking good. I loved all the 80s references as well as other references. It was one of the best books I read in awhile. So, naturally, I wanted to check out the movie, especially seeing that Spielberg was directing it, who when I really thought about has become overrated and really hasn't made anything good recently but I digress.
Reading the book ruined this movie for me. Those who read the book, do not get your hopes up. Those who liked the movie and have not read the book, read it.
The book should have just been made into a Netflix show to do it right.
Am I wrong? Anyone who read the book really like this movie?
