So what's new?
Things have been grand here. As you may know I was away the week in Memphis for a conference. It was grand. The conference itself was ok. I stayed at the Hilton and had a lot of fun with my crew. The real treat was Memphis. I haven't been in a while. It was evident by the fact that I got lost so much. I did go to the best BBQ restaurant in the world though. It's called rendezvous. You go down a back alley, open a grate in the ground, do down some stairs and there you are. It was fantastic. Lip smackin good.
I also found the perfect place for my private practice in a year. Its pretty, private, and the rent is cheap. Now all I have do to is wait the year and open it. I've also figured out what I'm going to do with my Lafayette property. I contacted a company to clear the land. Once the land is cleared (2 months) I will have a log cabin built on it. I will rent it out to make the payments on the cabin expenses. Yay for plans!
What else? Oh yeah, I got a macbook. I dig it. I always thought I would be a pc guy, but I made the switch and ill never look back. It's elegant and easy. You should switch too. We can switch together!
It's been fun since being back. I've been playing this game called the orange box. I can't get enough of it. If you walk in you will see me with my thumbs cramped around the controller, my eyes squinted to focus on the enemy in the background firing at me, my lips perhaps peeled back from my teeth revealing my teeth. Then you will hear my victory scream as I mow through the guy behind the barricade.
What else? Went bowling tonight. I haven't been bowling in a long time. I have to say it was not my best score ever, but it was still fun. I've been thinking lately that I wanted a pair of bowling shoes. I have looked through websites and al I can find are the boring professional shoes. I briefly thought about stealing them tonight and then I realized I wouldn't be able to ear them knowing I had stolen them. The search will go on for bowling shoes.
As a final note, I finished the Sopranos series tonight. I had a tearful goodbye. This is a bit of a surprise to me. The main character is truly a scumbag and yet I will miss his adventures.
Well anyways, its time to go I guess. Its nice and chilly outside tonight. Maybe its time for a walk.
