Ahh, so what's new? If we haven't spoken lately its because I've been busting my balls studying so that I could take the nationwide licensure test to that I can practice in all the states. Well yesterday was test day. I got there and thought it was the wrong place. It was at the H and R block testing center. I walked into a room of people doing their taxes. Sure enough though, a little old man led me into aback room with a desk and a computer in it. Turns out the testing room is right next to a guitar center, so I had hard rock blaring at me all the way through the test. It was good, depending on the song. As I took the test I was sure I was failing. The way the questions were phrased really threw me. I finished though and found that I passed with a fantastic score. I was so happy I ran out into the parking lot laughing. I also stole a staff donut form the testing center break room. It was a good donut.
As you know I got to a gym now. What can I say, you can't rock climb in the freezing cold. I'm new to the gym so I don't know all the rules. I stayed in the steam room for 45 minutes because I was in a good conversation with several people. I didn't notice anything inside the room, but when I came out, I felt like I was dying. It was almost impossible to walk. My skin at the time was as red as a fire truck. I compounded my fault my resting in the hot tub. I'm fine today and my skin looks normal, but I felt like crawfish in Louisiana. (Never ate them while I was there by the way.)
I had the late shift last night so I went to work after the gym and after a stop at steak n shake. I didn't get called so I sat in the office and watched the first 4 episode of 24. My chum James Brown suggested it so I have it a shot. I'm hooked. I also watched a film called communion. It's a supposedly true film about alien abduction. The memorable point of the film is that the "grey aliens" are really aliens in "grey space suit" and that we still haven't seen what aliens really look like.
Aliens are an interesting concept. I believe there is life on other planets. With a universe this big, its nave and egotistical to think were the only life forms in the universe. I do have a problem with the idea of faster than light travel though. For one, the only way we've been able to figure out how to so it is using antimatter. The problem is we've been making it for 28 year and we only have a few grams of it. It would take a mass roughly the size of the planet earth in antimatter just to move a ship to faster than light travel. And that's jus to move it into light speed! We would never have enough to keep it in motion. Another problem's with light speed travel is the gravity forces. We've all seen footage of pilots in g force flights where their skin flaps back from their face and it ripples on their face and chest. That's just a minimal amount of g force. If you moved into light speed the ship, everything on it and everyone in it would be crushed to particles by the gravity forces of light speed travel. As it is current theory is looking using wormholes to create space gateways (like the move or show stargate). Well I'm off for the day! Bye Bye.
