so, i helped the little lady move today
i'm SO very glad she's out of both her old apartment and her old neighborhood, and into a new apartment in a nicer building, surrounded by nicer people, without roommates, and with air conditioning!
for those of you who don't know me very well, i'm convinced that air conditioning is mankind's crowning achievement and i'm profoundly happy that i could, in some small way, assist her in knowing the untold pleasures of conditioned air.
also, i fucking LOVE harlem river drive, it's my new favorite road in manhattan! 140's to 210's in like 3 minutes!! in my defense of having lived here for nearly 30 years and never really exploring the wonders of harlem river drive, i'm more of an alphabet city cat myself and RARELY make it above the 50's, and virtually never into the 100's and above. at least until i fell for a chickie who lives uptown
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay uptown. like "are we still in manhattan? this shit looks like yonkers" uptown
