ok got the old pic back up and i will be updating the stats etc...
i will also be adding some pictures when i get the chance so that you all can see how wonderful Kansas is.
didn't do much this weekend, drank a bit on friday night, had so ribs on Saturday at a buddies house and so far today has only involved going to cracker barrel for breakfast this morning which we do every sunday.
this week is going to be a busy one, i have CLS (Combat Life Saver) Training all week which should be fun. Get to learn some advance Medic skills and how to do IV's so it will be some good training to help if someone gets hit while we are in Iraqi.
We had a Company run on Friday which was interesting, we did about five miles. The high point was a run up a steep hill with a cannon on it , touch the cannon and then run back down. It was a slow pace run so that was good because it meant that my old ass didn't fall out. We started the run with 111 Soldiers and ended with 106 so that was pretty good. On October 4th we are doing a two mile run with full battle gear and weapons to commemorate the aniversary of the Mogadishu Mile, which was the when the rangers ran out of Mogadishu in 1993. If you have seen the Movie Blackhawk Down it is basically one of the last scenes. So we will be running with full gear and weapons just like they did (that adds about 40 - 50 pounds) it should be a interesting experience to say the least.
I have been drinking a lot less, which is good. It is just hard to find the time as i am busy most days through the week. I don't seem to be losing any weight but my body is getting back in shape so that is a good thing.
Well take care all
