1 year older, No big deal really. But its definitely a point to look where I am in life and where I would like to be. Actually I should fucking be in Philadelphia again for the 2nd U2 show since its my birthday and all. I guess that same girl wouldnt use my arm as a boobrest for half the show again this time.
Seriously I think I have made definite progress since the "situation" at the end of '04. I want to continue to improve my life and really feel truly happy more of the time. I want to try yoga because 1. I need to take some time each day and think things over instead of rushing through stuff and 2. I have had quite a bit of just random aches in my back and knees for no particular reason.
For anyone who doesnt follow basketball, this might not make sense but Alonzo Mourning plays for the Miami Heat. He recently had a kidney transplant and prior to that could have possibly died from his illness if he didnt get the transplant. He returned to playing basketball after some recovery time and is Shaq's backup for the Heat. Shaq is out with an injury and it's Zo's responsibility to fill in for his time during the Eastern Conference finals. Zo is from Chesapeake Va, the place where I lived until I was 5 but more importantly most of my extended family is from that area and I feel more of an emotional connection there than to Richmond. So as another 6+ feet guy raised in Chesapeake, I hope that I can fight as hard with my own battles.
