SP20 is this weekend. and, as much as i would love to celebrate the 20th birthday of my favorite record label with some of my favorite acts in the world right now, I HAVE TO WORK ALL WEEKEND.
i wanted to see fleet foxes again (and although i've sorta skipped work once to see them, i couldn't possibly do it again, and besides, today's festivities are sold out). i wanted to see THE VASELINES (in addition to my parents, i was raised by kurt cobain). i wanted to see no age (probably my favorite band to come out of this entire decade), beachwood sparks, and wolf parade tomorrow. now, i could go out there tomorrow, but i'd get absolutely NO sleep, and i'd have to leave before wolf parade went on in order to get to work on time.
oh well, at least i get to see no age (and mudhoney!) in KEXP's parking lot on the 23rd. and rumor has it that they're also playing a house show in town, which i will risk my life to be invited to.
