i played an unamplified acoustic gig at the vera project last night.
playing a show with no mic, no stage, sitting on the floor of an all-ages art space for seven or eight people made me realize how much i prefer doing this sort of thing to playing at a traditional venue. it was fun, the other acts were great, and everything about it couldn't have been better. i mean, not even the sparse attendance was a problem. i think if i ever get to the point where i start touring "for real," i think i may intersperse the "actual gigs" with little solo acoustic events like this one.
