For the first time in the longest time I didn't actually turn my PC on once over the entire weekend! Which feels weird for some reason!

I ended up finally going to Ikea to get some new bookcases... slight problem being that in the years since I last bought my bookcases Ikea has redefined what they class as "beech"... of course in the place it looks right - you get it home and compare it to the ones you bought years ago and they're a different colour! Still I'm not too bothered but it did annoy me slightly on the day.

Anyway it's valentines day tomorrow and I've finally persuaded my Dad to actually do something this year... yes you read that right I has to talk him into doing something for valentines day! He basically just ignores it every year and my Mum gets seriously pissed off about it... unfortunately my Dad isn't the most perceptive of people and this goes over his head every year. So I finally persuaded him to book a table at a restaurant and get her a card... two relatively small gestures but I'm hoping they will at least put a smile on her face. I'm just hoping nothing goes wrong that I'll end up getting the blame for!

As for my valentines day it will be spent reading old Judge Dredd strips from the 70's... ahhh it's good being a geek!
