R.I.P. Asylum
Well, looks like the club is just about done. I'm going to be DJing next weekend and maybe a few weeks after that then probably we will be closing soon after. It's funny, when I started there we'd get over 1,000 people a night through the door on a Saturday, and this past few months (last night for example) there were like 30 people.
I've had the best and worst nights of my life in that place, and I'm going to hate to see it go. But I guess all good things come to an end eventually. It's time for me to pursue my talent in other venues I suppose. The owner says he may open another club somewhere else in the future, and I'm first on his list to call for DJs, so that's a good thing I suppose. Just as long as I don't get stuck playing shitty rap music ever again!!
It's going to be nice though in a way. I've spent every Saturday and most Fridays since I was 19 in a DJ booth. I don't even know what people do on the weekends anymore, it's going to be a whole new experience. I'm looking forward to it though. My ears probably are too!
I'm ranting, just thought I'd share that. If you people have ever been to the Asylum and would like to have one last good time there, bring your asses out next Saturday. We'd love to have you out!
