Just got home from seeing 'Hero' at the Dendy, the new flick by the director of Crouching Tiger. It was spectacular, although I can already hear reviews describing it as a wannabe Matrix or more jokes about wired flying martial arts movies.
I liked it for the same reason I liked both of those aformentioned movies, they give me the opportunity to dream. To dream that such precision can be achieved with the sword or even the human body, that it's possible to bounce off walls or branches the thickness of matchsticks, or walking on water.
I also liked it because of the references to traditional calligraphy, and the similarities between the brush and the sword.
And the cutie from Crouching Tiger...Ziyi Zhang? MMMMMMMM!!!
I cant wait to move house, DANG! I want a lockup garage...somewhere to put the bikes and my woodworking tools.
