Somehow survived the mall AND bestbuy yesterday. Sorry Tadzi no free stuff today. And i got previously mentioned coat for well under $100. Its amazing what a little searching can do
Im not sure where this year has gone exactly but it's kinda scary. Time flies when you're having the fun eh? What a dramatic difference this year has been from last year and yet frighteningly similar. Big changes, some grand some not so much. Always interesting, always fun though. Life is a series of entrances and exits, meetings and partings and i am forever humbled and gracious for all of them.
It's a shame to see so many people i know and care about become so tainted by the season, all of the reasons i can understand. But if you know me (and not even very well) i go out of my way everyday to let the people i know and care about know that i care. I spoil my friends all throughout the year. I am generous in my wallet when i can be and in my heart always. I appreciate this time of year to go above my usual measures not because i feel obligated but because sometimes in the gloom and doom of the cold miserable winter, people need a little extra love. I like to think i was really raised right as far as the spirit of the season goes, especially now that me and my sisters are older. "christ" doesn't have anything to with it anymore, but rather we all actually celebrate, which if i want to get snooty about it, is what it was all about to begin with. We eat, we reminisce, we take time out from work and bills and stop time to tell stories and play games. I am not above that folks, i will never be too old or too good for it. And i guess its things like that, good friends (and the fact i dont work in retail anymore
) that i can really ignore all the insanity, the hubub and the humbugs.
Whether you love it or loathe it, enjoy the time off. May your glasses be full and eggnog spiked. And make sure to tell someone you love them. This should be a daily ritual but making up for lost time can't hurt some people. Play hard and be safe
