Mmmm, you win some, you lose some.
I've had a bit of a nagging headache for the past few days that i mostly attributed to not easing myself into the sailor jerry after a bit of a hiatus from drinking. But by the time i got home around sunday i was just exhausted and annoyed that i'd had a headache for almost 3 days straight (hopefully my more than wonderful host did not take it personally). I figured i'd pop a few aspirin and take a nap, since that always seems to do the trick. Upon waking up, it was actually 5 times worse; quite the opposite of what i was looking for. I went to bed early hoping it would be gone in time for work in the morning.
Naturally it wasn't.
In fact, again it was even worse and now i had vertigo. Enough for me to call out of work because getting dressed was enough of a chore. I called the doctors and made an appointment for 2:30. The guy i was scheduled to see ( i don't really have one doctor anymore, but several since i go to a large practice) is usually a difficult pain in the ass. But today he actually seemed to take me quite seriously. Going as far as doing a few in office tests. Usually basic docs look at me, ask me whats wrong, write a Rx and send me on my way. Apparently the case of concern came from my slowness and somewhat confused mannerisms that i was feeling increasingly throughout the day, and the absence of sinus problems. He prescribed me an anti inflammatory for my head and medicine for my vertigo. He did mention something of a virus that i didnt quite catch and my mom couldnt really explain back to me later. but what i do know is in about 10 days i have to go back and get a script for some basic cat scans and such and if needed a referral to a neurologist should i need something called an "occipital block" for my headaches. in short that means BIG FUCKING NEEDLES GOING INTO THE BACK OF MY HEAD. Although he doubts i'll need the later, but he said with the family history of migraines and other fun shit, he wants to be sure. So add that to my fun list of shit that's wrong with me. I'm not too worried, but i'm am a bit concerned that even after taking the pill for my head pain, while it has subsided greatly, i'm still stuck with a headache that one might compare to sitting in the front row of a 3 hour movie.
In other news theres really..no...other...news. Shit for the most part is rather dandy. However, this journal will soon be going friends only soon. too much of a chatter box to go anonymous, but tired of drama. I'm already friends with people i want to be so i don't see this as being a big issue for anyone.

infinity:
it's good to get to see a doctor who actually takes the time to look over your history and see what's really going on rather than going for the quick fixes. now just hope they can reach a root cause without the need for large needles
