Well, I have nothing witty to say today, so I thought I'd share some poetry that I've written over the years.

"Trapped"

She's trapped inside her web of emotions,
Hungrly, they cling to her with sticky fingers.
Everywhere she turns, the voices haunt her,
Teasing her; pushing her,
She races through her forest of sadness.
Heart pounding, legs shaking,
She cries a river of salty tears.
Body trembling, she collapses to the ground,
Tears turned to sobs, echoing through the emptiness.
She racks her brain for just one answer.
Waiting in a death-like trance.
The time is near.
Only with patience will she find her heart.
Does she have the strength to face her fears?
Her broken heart, shattered beyond belief.
Constant chaos attacks her mind.
Once more, her peace is lost.
With a heavy heart, she sighs in disbelief,
And begins her search again.

"Butterflies"

Drowning, floating, falling in love,
The butterflies do their dance.
Spinning 'round,
Head over feet,
Paint me with your kisses.
Run your fingers through my hair,
And mold me with your hands.
I am a child once again,
Blissful and alive.
And I'd almost forgotten how to love.
The journey has ended,
I've finallly found you.
Kiss me, kiss me,
Again and again.

~~Lisa~~

There you go folks, and I will leave you with one of my all time favorite quotes:
"I have spread my dreams beneath your feet...tread softly." YEATS

Good days to everyone. miao!!

That first poem is the saddest thing I have ever read!

So you fell in love with a man who has children and he swept you away to a land called Ohio.
Am I close?

I'm just a recent transplant to the Seattle Area (it's only been 4 months.) Thanksfully we moved because we wanted to. I sure as hell miss my mom though.

On Petfinder I did a search of shelters in my area (you know, for kicks) and when I saw one near me that rescued only cats I knew I had to volunteer.
It's great, really.
