Man, I've been busy. Really, really busy.

But still not as busy as I should have been, it seems.

Still have to read a book of music history and prepare a 15 minute presentation of it for thursday. Even though I've been working flat out on philosophy and stuff, and I've been helping out at the biggest gig of my life so far.

Last night was said gig, it was awesome. There must have been at least 600 people there, at Paisley town hall (MASSIVE!!!) and we rocked serious ass. It was the Loud 'n' Proud School Of Rock festival.

Basically I was playing a gig that comprised of the set we played at Wickerman 2006 with the kids from the school and the guys from my band, Arcadia, and Arcadia were playing the first ever full rendition of our debut album. Well, that was how it was supposed to work.

Arcadia exploded onto the stage to kick it all off with our first album track, "Time", then a couple of bands the kids had put together went on (I sang "Cochise" by Audioslave with one of them, a band called Motormouth.) Then Arcadia's new Synth/Keyboard player Yoshiki played the *entire* Star Wars theme, and by entire I mean he played every instrument in the orchestra, using his keyboard. I'm talking pedals changing keys, pedals operating timpani and percussion, hitting buttons like crazy to change instruments and tempos etc. It was insane.

Then after an interval, Arcadia came back on to play the rest of our album. We got two thirds of our way into the last track, those of you who have heard the cd will know how huge it sounds, it's getting more and more epic, it's about to reach its peak, the climax of the fucking album... and some bastard sets the fire alarm off. So, obviously we don't stop playing until someone official turns the PA system off so noone can hear us and tells us we have to get off the stage (to a cheer). We grab our guitars, and go outside (making sure noone steals them while we're out, haha) and then head back in 5 mins later (well done to the fire crew, they didn't take long at all).

After heading in, we launch into the Wickerman set, and our version of House of the Rising Sun, which brought the fucking house down. Haha.

It was a great gig, the sound system was the one from the Barrowlands, so the sound quality was unbelievable. Too bad we can't put out our live CD and live DVD we were hoping to sell at the album launch, cos it's only got half of the last track on it.

And before anyone says, it wasn't the smoke machine that set off the fire alarm, it was someone upstairs in the toilet smoking. Gutted.

Oh,and I'm going to whatever halloween party we're going to this year dressed as V from "V For Vendetta". It'll be awesome. Got my mask off ebay. Hehe.

Anyway, gotta go get food then off to uni.
