For those wondering, yes, my daughter passed her driving test. But, fear not. The way the law works in Virginia, she can't drive unaccompanied until nine months after receipt of her permit, which won't be until June 16. So for a little over a month, y'all are safe.

She was out this afternoon -- we took a trip into Lucking Feesburg to pick up some wonderfully nummy cookies from Lola's Cookies, home of the fabulously yummy Ginger Chocolate Chip cookie. So freakin good. We got some of those, and some of the mocha midnights and coconut macaroons ... and of course, they're already almost gone. Surprise, surprise.

My dad came for dinner, which was surprisingly drama-free -- you never know when you get me and my dad in a room together. Usually, emotional blood will be drawn. But tonight was decent. We had spaghetti, and the daughter talked him into staying to play the B-Movie card game, which was amusing.

And now, I'm relaxing, except for the itching. damn grass pollen. But hey, my patio is now mostly free of weeds -- most of them relocated to my clothes, skin, and hair when I took the weed whacker to it. Lucky me. It's not easy being green.
