so so relieved right now. i have been stressing lately because i had not heard from phillip (my marine buddy i went to china with) since he left for iraq. i have been really worried and nervous, just wanting to get ANY communication from him to know he's ok. it's been months since he left, and i know it's not simple to get word out, but i was getting panicky. well, today i finally got word from him! he is ok, although recently his truck hit an IED and was completely destroyed - he said he was lucky to not have gotten hit by any metal, because his whole face was covered in oil that sprayed from the engine. he said everybody in the truck made it out alive.
thank god. i can't explain how freaked out i was when i saw an e-mail from him in my mailbox, i burst into tears (i think i freaked out the brother a little, sorry moist) if any of you guys pray, i hope you keep the troops in those prayers.
had the garage sale today - it was actually fun. i sold a good amount of my crap and with everything i sold before and then during the garage sale i ended up clearing 50 bucks.... so rad! plus vorbei was there with the kiddo, and punk came by and hung with us too. there were many dance parties - i think that's how we lured the majority of the customers in
there is still a ton of crap though, gotta swing by goodwill this week.
getting ready for my christmas party too - the christmas lights are up and i am almost done with my damn finals, so i am ready to party! woo! i think i will make some yummy christmas cookies this week too. it's been awhile since i have done that.
i will leave you with blake holding ben like a baby. cause, well, it's cute.

Good luck with the Christmas party. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend as I originally planned to; my mother (who was supposed to be in France right now with her family) stayed behind in the states, and she'd like to have dinner with me, so it isn't the sort of thing I can blow off (as much as I'd like to; all the various references in the Christmas Party thread to drinking and Guitar Hero 2 is right up my alley). So I wish you well when it comes to being a good host and what not.
Here's hoping your place doesn't get trashed too badly.
