well, one more week done in my summer school math class. officially at the half way point.
right now i am just sitting around waiting for the furniture we bought yesterday to be delivered. we are getting an entertainment unit. we were origionally going to buy a bunch of shelves from ikea and create our own. but when we factored the cost, plus us having to transport it, and put it together, plus the hours of bickering that would ensue with us putting our own furniture together (trust me, we've been down that road before) we shopped around and found a little shop with a really good price on a really nice entertainment unit, with a tv stand and tons of storage.
hooray for organization!!! i love when my house gets all organized, and everything in my house gets a "home" for itself. plus almost all the shelves have covers, so no more running the risk of the demon dog eating dvds or video game controllers.
tonight is of course another panda jerks game. i have a good feeling on this one. i have had a pretty good week all around, actually. i was stressing, i was in the process (over the past month) of being tested for a very specific genetic mutation that occurs in my family. this gene, which is called BRCA1 can have a horrible effect - it is the early onset of breast and ovarian cancer. my family has a very specific mutation of this gene, which has changed the lives of nearly every woman in my family. well, it's changed my entire family, due to losing loved ones and dealing with loved ones fighting cancer, if you look at it that way. anyway, i got my results back and there was NO MUTATION DETECTED!!!!!! this was a shock, to say the least. when every woman on my moms' side i am related to who has taken the test came back positive except one, that is a miracle. also, i had a lump in my boobie and i had to get an ultrasound, that came back clean too. so all in all, it's been an edge of your seat month with a BIG SIGH of relief at the end.
i have never been so happy to be so completely normal in my whole life.
