So I have a comic project in mind, but I'm used to draw illustrations and they are two very different things with their own "rules". So before starting a whole comic in a professional level I felt I needed to practice a bit again and try different styles, shading, scene composition etc.

This is an individual page just to practice the visual work and see if I like to keep the black lines, as I always color them in illustrations. I'm pretty proud of the result, what do you think?

Some of those black lines give it the "comic book" feel, as would some cross hatching and stipling here and there. It's obvious you put effort into it. I think you SHOULD plan yourself out a short comic book and have at it. Give yourself about 10 pages of a short story and art. It would be a good gauge for you as to actual work vs. length, how much you will actually enjoy it, and which medium you finally decide you're most comfortable with. I know I'm not the only one who wants to see what you might be capable of :)
