Fourth of July is not my favorite holiday, I usually would plan to be out of the country, but this year I was not able to leave But I tried to enjoy the day by drinking down a gallon of Bacardi Limon and Diet Lime Coke with my crew and smoking some Cuban and fine Ecuadorian wrapped Dominican cigars. We also listened to a great selection of Salsa Hits from the 70's - 80's and 90's while in the background the sounds of fireworks accompanied the music It was a great moment after all.

While I thought about how everyone in the planet has some type of Independence Day - I also thought about how the planet is slowly being consumed by its inhabitants - What do we really celebrate on this day.....? We are always fighting in wars against the idea and concept of anyone controlling or manipulating our great country in any form or fashion. We spend so much energy and resources and lives making sure no person, group or collective - influences or has any affect on our society, economy and government, (except those who are in power they have a license to take all our rights). But what is really our independence? In the beginning; lets just say when the fathers of our country really thought about securing independence -- it was independence from another country - to secure economic, social and political freedom from any one person or foreign country. So today we are not under the control and influence of any foreign entity Or are we???

The largest banks are owned by foreigners, and so are the energy companies and even the last of our shampoo manufacturers have gone to foreigners. Maybe we dont need to celebrate our independence because really no one wants to control us completely anymore. Maybe today we are so dependent on foreign control and influence that we do not even notice it No one wants to control us anymore they just want to own us and let us continue to be such great consumers - and be the population that is trained to purchase all the useless things the world produces and accumulate all the material goods we can while we lead the pack in devastating, devouring and guzzling up the planet. Our independence from economic, social and political control has no value since we are so dependent on things and material goods, on foreign energy and as we permit our own government to take away our most basic rights, freedom and liberties.

So, I hope you enjoyed your Fourth of July But I really hope you stand firm to keeping your rights, your personal freedom, the right to travel, the right to speak out against your government and question the facts. Most of all fight for the right to truth, and the practice of true democracy and justice. Keep the revolution moving forward, do it for your future children and grandchildren Un Abrazo..

Thank you very much, I am truly flattered. No one on this site has ever said anything to me that showed such appreciation. I am glad you enjoyed the set. biggrin

Secondly, I agree wholeheartedly with what you have written above. It is sad how little is made or done in this country anymore. We are slaves to our consumption. I will do my best to keep the revolution moving forward. ARRR!!!
