Hola: This new SG stuff is like everything new, I just dont like it. It is to much work to get around and to complicated. What was wrong with the one we had? I am so sure that by Christmas I will be happy with the new SG site and have mastered my way around it. But it is amazing on how the comments have dropped Lets support change it is good for us.
I have not researched this, but it seems that we are seeing more outdoor, nature setting SG sets. I really enjoy seeing our gorgeous SG sisters out there in nature. And having very little to do with that - I had to read Al Gores book and then see the movie An Inconvenient Truth I had read his first book Earth in the Balance and then thought he had a good idea if only he could preach it, present it and explain it well, the message could get through the populous. I was so disappointed and more so now. In his new book-movie he has the same message but a bit more data, pictures and scientific support. Can he present it and be the best explainer of this Inconvenient Truth? I think not. During his eight years as VP, and on Election Day, when he had to really stand up for truth and justice he caved in and fell short. Now he presents the data, but just does not present the reality of the situation. He presents scientific proof but fails to present what we must do to bring about true and sustained change. He even presents a possible alternative process that will maintain our capitalistic system while solving the inevitable destruction of the planet. Who is he trying to protect and save?
In closing, the first order of the day needs to be a commitment from the policy makers to disclose the truth. The free people of the USA must demand from our executive branch to engage in truth-telling. We are being lied to by the elected leadership, and the corporations who will need to reinvent themselves in order to save the planet every single day. The second order of the day is not to preach we should reduce our use and abuse of natural resources and energy - but too completely change our life styles and stop the consumption of goods and items we do not need or use for the sake of the economy. Lets live like the rest of the world and be happier. The third order of the day is that we must become global citizens, assume the responsibility of; care for the planet and the awareness of the suffering and hostility that takes place among its inhabitants. This cant be a we can work this out with the present system, that is the most inexcusable lie Gore can present to the people.
I hope nature is still around for my grandson, I hope SGs are still using it as a setting and background for their sets in the future. Lets demand real change in the long run it will be good for us.
