The on Friday I get to go meet a "friend" at Lake Tahoe. WooHoo! NOw that's going to be fun! My set is still "waiting to be qued" and it SUCKS ASS. I want my se tto go up so I can send in another set that I've doen already. I have 2 more sets just sitting around. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, I am the most impatient little fuck ever! Oh well, 8 more weeks til I live in Long Beach!!!! I can't beleive it's actually happening, it's fuckin' crazy! But it will be worth it.....hopefully!

Well, the only way I know of finding anything good in Long Beach is driving around and looking. There are always lots of places available. I made a map of the parts of Long Beach that are good for housing at one point. I'll see if I can find it again.

Sorry I don't have a better way of finding places. If you have an idea what you're looking for and what your budget is, I might be able to keep an eye open and let you know if I find anything.

Good luck with the pending move! Craig's List has a lot of listings, and the online community site Tribe has a lot of apartment and roommate listings posted by LA members. And while it's a site that charges money, Westside Rentals is probably the best apartment rentals listing site in all of LA. Don't let the name fool you, despite being called Westside they have listings all over the city.

A couple things to note, that I experienced when I moved to LA from NY. Many places don't include a refrigerator. Also, when figuring your rent and monthly expenses, remember that you're not really going to be paying a heating bill per se, and unless you end up living inland or in the valley you won't likely spend a lot on air conditioning.

Bean's way knowledgeable on all things South Bay, so driving around could end up getting you somewhere in Long Beach. Up in Burbank, Glendale, and Hollywood my driving around helped me figure out where stuff was, but didn't get me any good leads.

Cheers!
