Ugh. Spending money I don't have on buying one for myself. $25 is too good to pass up.



I got a job.
Express in Tyson's Corner. Reasonable but not exceptional pay. Good discount. Was hired as a part time seasonal employee, but was pretty much told that if I want to stay as a part time employee after the season that they'll keep me on.


Car soon.
It is a '99 Toyota Avalon. Which kind of seems like a mom car. But the important part is that it drives (I assume).
I won't be stuck anymore. I'll be able to drive to work, to school when that starts. I'll be able to go out and socialize without it being on my parents schedule. Huge relief.
Should be getting it on Monday or Tuesday.


Birthday.
Less than a week. 25 sounds old. I know I'm young, but I'm growing up. It's a process.
My friend Felix found out he can't come to my birthday party, so he said "I don't work on your birthday, why don't I come up on that day and make you dinner?" He's a chef. And a vegetarian. This might be one of the sweetest things anyone has ever offered to do for me. He's getting so excited about planning everything out, and whenever I ask if there is anything I can do to help he says "no, it's your birthday. People are supposed to do things for you." I'm just not used to that.

If any of you are feeling generous this is my birthday wishlist.


Last night was really rough. I'm trying not to let it cast a shadow, overwhelming today's good news. It's not working.

I wish the warm body I have to fall asleep next to wasn't sick and didn't keep trying to have sex with me. I could use a warm body right now.
