It appears I am back. Everyone can thank corinthia for that. Thank you dear. It was a nice surprise.
It seems like I can never stay away from this place for too long.

I went to Chaco Canyon in New Mexico this past September. It was incredible.
The "chief interpreter" ie, main tour guide gave us a private guided tour where he took us scrambling up and over the ruins to an area off limits to the public. That is where this picture was taken. I am sitting on the edge of a Kiva that can only be seen via a small window on the lower floor.
Yes, I took the picture myself. Someone would have had to be floating in mid air in order to take it. This was two weeks in to orientation. We couldn't even smell each other anymore at this point.
In the background is Pueblo Bonito, the largest of the great houses at Chaco Canyon.
