I decided to be crazy and spend hours photoshopping an old set of mine in order to submit it for SCS. It is definitely now better than it was when I originally submitted it and it was rejected it. Anyway- go look at it. Comment on it a lot. Say you love it lots and lots. Post in your journal and tell other people to look at it and comment on it and love it.
I have health insurance! This is a very good thing. I didn't like being in limbo.
On Christmas eve I checked the mail at my parents house. While I took all of the Christmas cards, I handed my mother everything else. As I was reading through cards I hear a "woohoo!" from my mother, which I found strange since I thought I had handed her all bills. I turn to her and she hands me something. It turns out to be a health insurance card with my name on it! YAY!
Which means my disability went through. I think it is funny that the way I was notified is getting my new insurance card. I expected a letter or packet of some sort letting me know their decision and giving me all of the details of what it means to have the status of "disabled." I assume I will get something like that eventually. I do think it is interesting how easy it is to qualify for disability. I hadn't even known that you could get it just for being crazy, and not all that seriously at that, I had figured that you would have to have something as severe as schizophrenia to get disability for mental reasons. But apparently my ADD/ADHD and bipolar 2 were enough.
So now I get to stay on my mothers really really good health insurance for "a period of no less than four years, not to be terminated until the time that it is deemed subject is able to maintain a level of stability suitable for attaining health insurance on their own." Awesome.
An example of how good my mom's insurance is? My copay for a session of therapy is 7 bucks. Ridiculous.
I finally got good pictures of my new hair.
I am hoping to get a new set taken the first week of January since I am house sitting for my parents and actually know people who can take pictures down there.

I really need to get some good insurance. I wonder if my spinal injury will qualify me for disability?
