I propose a challenge.
Many of us hopefuls are getting disappointed that so many of the sets going up for SCS are sets that were very recently rejected, only just put up, and from hopefuls who have only just joined the site and aren't active in the community. A lot of us feel kind of hurt because we thought that the point of SCS was to put sets up based on a show of what the public wants, and mainly to give some rejected sets that we dearly love the chance to go up. We thought this meant that older sets would be able to go up, that we would be seeing the sets from the girls we know and love going up. The girls who are very active in our community and everyone knows.
But alas, even though they have some of the highest comment counts ever in SCS, amazing sets by creativename, Poopy, Dawnie, ToxicAddiction, Unique, GatsbyRue, _Pie_, RozDoss, and CarolineBlue are still languishing. What do we get instead? Sets that are definitely worthy of going up, but that I don't understand why they were rejected in the first place, since they are just being put up a week or less later.
So first off - go find the sets in SCS by those girls that I listed, and comment on them. And tell everyone else to comment on them. Then maybe we'll actually have some of them go up.
But on to my challenge!
I would like to see one of the older sets go up. I mean.. really older sets. One of the sets that was automatically uploaded in to the running for SCS from the hopefuls group when SCS first started.
So I propose that we pick a set (or two) from the archives and really drive up the comment count. Give it some REALLY awesome comments. See if we can get it put up.
So I spent quite some time looking through all of the sets (That are still available) posted before SCS launched, and I picked the two that have the combination of being really good, and being by members who have posted journal entries within the last two weeks. I think it would be really cool to see a set go up that was posted in August of 2005, where the member is still here and active. I think that is really what SCS is all about.
So the two sets I chose to pimp out are:
NeakyLikeANinja - Weerdwun - 2nd set attempt , originally posted August 19th 2005. I think it's cute that she's changed her handle and the old one is still in her set title.
Here are my favourite pictures from that set-

So go comment on these two sets. And post the sets in your journal and tell people to comment on them. I think both of those sets are just as good, if not better than a lot of what has gone up for SCS, which is impressive because they are nearly 2.5 year old sets. So vote for them! Let's get some old sets up.
What do you all think?
Oh! And I dyed my hair teal/turquoise/aqua - here is a picture. It is from my camera phone, so the quality is decidedly mediocre. I will take a better one at some point.
