First of all... go buy my stuff in the swap meet group. I need money real bad so I don't get evicted. Please.

Now.. a letter to westminsteronians/westminsterers/westminsterites/westminsterans.

Dear Westminteronians,

When the speed limit is 35 miles per hour, it is really really unnecessary to drive at between 25 and 30 miles per hour on a wide-lane road, with no curves and no one in front of you. It is actually even okay to not only drive the speed limit, but even to be a rebel and maybe drive between 40 and 45. You get places faster. I live less than 3 miles from school, it should not take me 15-20 minutes to get to school.

If you are making a right turn and are not at a stop sign or a red light, a. use your turn signal and b. you DO NOT need to come to a complete stop. Especially if you have a green light.

The speed limit on main street is 25 miles per hour, not 15, and definitely not 10. You don't need to stop for green lights.

The street behind my house is a street, not an alley. It is paved. It has a name, South Street. There are stop signs and street signs with it's name at most intersections. It has a marked speed limit of 20 miles per hour. Alley's have speed limits of 5 to 10 miles per hour. It is TWO WAY.

Therefor-

Cars and Trucks: Drive 20 miles per hour. Not ten. Drive on the right side of the road, not down the middle. Don't just stop right in the middle of the road. Pay attention to whether or not there are cars coming from the other direction when you turn on to the street.

Pedestrians: It's a street. With cars. And cars don't drive down it rarely. They are pretty common. Therefor do not slowly amble right down the middle of the street, three people wide, paying absolutely no mind to whether or not there are cars coming. If a car comes, move. Don't just act as though it's a sidewalk, and you have more of a right to be there than the car, and the car doesn't exist, or you don't notice it. Quickly movie to the side. Don't just slowly walk over to the side of the road as if you had to think for a minute about whether or not you wanted to let the car pass. Treat the road like a road. Don't be fucking stupid.

When it's raining it is not necessary to start driving 15 mph or more under the speed limit. Especially when the speed limits are already 40, 35, and 25 mph. You also don't need to start stopping at EVERY SINGLE INTERSECTION when it rains. That doesn't do you any good.

In resolution to this letter I would like to state that I get highly aggravated that although everywhere in Westminster is within 5 miles from my house, the fact that it takes between 10 and 25 minutes to get anywhere is quite troublesome to me. I feel as though you all, as drivers and pedestrians, can do a lot better than you currently do.

Emphatically (i.e. good lord.),
Heather.

I really really really abhor Westminster drivers. And the people who walk down the street behind my house. But mostly Westminster drivers. They are the most annoying drivers I have ever had to deal with. Often times when driving to school or other ridiculously short distances I end up wanting to shoot myself.

Oh I feel the same damn way about drivers out here. You'd think in Vegas there wouldn't be much issue with the slow ones but, we have both ways, either super slooooow or hurryupandgetoutofmyway types. Nobody in between. It's really just not worth it, because it makes me not want to go anywhere in my car.
Good luck with your sales. I'll go check it out and see if there's anything I can use.

That's not Westminster, that pretty much describes MD drivers, until they get on 95 or 695, then they become insane and try to drive 110mph in rush hour traffic. That bastard took my mirror off.
